Policy
1.

protecting your privacy. Our business is based on providing
you with secure communication products so that you may
ensure the privacy of your Internet communications. This
Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through
this website and how it is used.
Any information we collect
will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold,
rented or otherwise disclosed without your express consent
or unless otherwise required by law.
2.

We also receive email and
correspondence by postal mail. We may keep copies of this
correspondence for our own information and in order to
respond to you.
We may request additional
information from you in order to provide you with business
services or otherwise communicate with you. We accept
anonymous donations, but please remember that your personal
information is required if you choose to donate by our
online Donate button.
We do not use cookies or web
beacons on this site. For an explanation of cookies and web

3.
How we use
your information
PrivaFone uses information
you send us to provide you with business services and
products in the area of secure communications. We also use
your information to communicate with you and for our own
statistical purposes in improving our website, products and
services.
We may at our discretion
permanently delete all correspondence from you. You also
may request that we do this by contacting us or inserting
the word “DELETE” in the subject line of an email. It may
be necessary for reasons of sound business practice to keep
records of business transactions and/or correspondence, but
we will try to honor your request if possible.
4.
Third-party
service providers
PayPal.com collects
donations made through our
online Donate button and forwards them to PrivaFone.
They collect personally identifiable information as well as
credit card information in order to process your donation.
PayPal releases to us your personally identifiable
information but not your credit card information. They do
not release your personally identifiable information to
anyone else. You may view PayPal’s privacy policy at:
https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/ua/policy_privacy-outside.
PayPal.com and GoDaddy.com
may attempt to install third-party cookies on your computer
for the purpose of providing you with their services when
you visit our donations page at
https://privafone.com/donate.htm. If you do not wish to
have third-party cookies installed on your computer, then
you may adjust your browser settings to block them.
PrivaFone occasionally may
employ third-party consultants or contractors who may have
access to your personally identifiable information. In such
cases, we will limit their use of personally identifiable
information to their assigned duties and subject to the
limitations of this Privacy Policy.
PrivaFone’s site contains
links to various third-party websites. We are not
responsible for, nor do we have any control over the privacy
practices or content of these sites. We encourage users to
read the privacy policies of any website they visit.
5.
Disclosure of
your information
PrivaFone will not disclose
your personally identifiable information to anyone without
your express consent or unless required by law, such as a
subpoena from a court or other administrative order.
If we are required by law to
disclose your information, we will attempt to inform you
(unless prohibited by law) so that you may exercise your
right to object to the disclosure. We will attempt to
communicate with you by the contact information you have
given us. If you do not challenge such an order, we legally
may be forced to turn over your information.
In any case, PrivaFone
independently will object to all requests for your
information that it deems unreasonable or improper.
6.
How You Can
Access or Correct Your Information
You can access all your personally identifiable information that we
collect online and maintain by contacting us by email or
phone. We use this procedure to better safeguard your
information.
You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable
information by sending us a request that credibly shows
error.
To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable
steps to verify your identity before granting access or
making corrections.
7.
Children’s
Privacy (Age 12 and Under)
PrivaFone does not knowingly
collect information from children under the age of 13. A
child does not have to provide any information to visit the
PrivaFone website or to use any of the features of our
website.
If we become aware that a
person submitting personal information to us is a child,
then that information is deleted immediately. We do not use
such information for any reason, nor is it disclosed to any
third party.
Since we do not knowingly
collect information from children, and we delete any such
information as soon as it is discovered, we typically do not
retain any information that could be reviewed or deleted.
If a parent requests review or deletion of their child’s
information before we have discovered and deleted it, then
of course we would honor that request.
8.
Changes to our
Policies
PrivaFone’s Privacy Policy
may change from time to time, as new products and website
functionality is added. If we make substantive changes to
our policies, we will post these changes on this page.
9.
Security
PrivaFone uses standard
industry practices to prevent the loss or misuse of
information under our control. Information submitted
through our Donate button is encrypted through a Secure
Sockets Layer (SSL) connection, which protects data during transit. In addition, the
information we collect is stored in a secure operating
environment.
We encourage the use of
encrypted email for communications. You may download a copy
of our public email certificate here:
